The PandemicTech Survey
The infectious disease community faces continuously evolving challenges when addressing threats to our global health. PandemicTech is opening up channels of communication within our community to improve our understanding of the methods and techniques that we use to fight epidemic disease.
This information will ultimately direct private investment towards those worldwide scientists and entrepreneurs creating modern technology solutions driven by the collective needs of the global health professionals on the front lines of infectious disease prevention and response.
The first part of this effort is the PandemicTech Survey, a program designed to reach a network of experts who share high level knowledge of global readiness and response to epidemic disease. The survey will empower these leading members of the infectious disease community to determine current and future challenges, and it will also identify ways that technology innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment can address these challenges.
The survey consists of a series of questions that address the participant’s expertise and opinions about epidemiology, public health, laboratory science, and clinical infectious disease with a focus on technology innovation. The survey is completed during a series of approximately four 60-minute interviews conducted with a PandemicTech interviewer either in-person, online, or by phone. Participants who complete the full survey are eligible for an honorarium in recognition of their support. Individuals interested in participation are encouraged to complete a brief enrollment questionnaire available online at www.pandemictech.com. The PandemicTech team will contact qualified individuals to schedule an initial 45-minute interview via online videoconference or by phone for the purpose of determining survey eligibility.
